Polydopamine antibacterial materials

TL;DR: An overview of polydopamine (PDA) antibacterial materials is provided in this paper, where the fabrication strategies and antibacterial mechanisms of PDA-based composite materials are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

ROS Scavenging Biopolymers for Anti‐Inflammatory Diseases: Classification and Formulation

TL;DR: The generation and clearance of ROS in physiological processes, as well as the effects of ROS inflammatory diseases are introduced and the classification, macromolecular structure, and scavenging mechanism of those antioxidant polymers are systematically described and discussed, which aim to provide a guiding theoretical reference of designing effectively ROS scavenging biopolymers for anti‐inflammatory disease therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reduced polydopamine nanoparticles incorporated oxidized dextran/chitosan hybrid hydrogels with enhanced antioxidative and antibacterial properties for accelerated wound healing.

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of reduced polydopamine nanoparticles (rPDA NPs) incorporated oxidized dextran/chitosan hybrid hydrogels have been designed for wound healing due to their excellent antioxidative property and antibacterial activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultrasmall Nanoparticle ROS Scavengers Based on Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxanes

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the preparation of ultra-small and precisely structured polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS)-based polyphenol nanoparticles (T8-, T10-, and T12-GAPOSS).
Journal ArticleDOI

Therapeutic Nanoparticles from Grape Seed for Modulating Oxidative Stress

TL;DR: In this paper, a direct fabrication strategy toward polyphenol nanoparticles with tunable size, excellent biocompatibility, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging capacities from grape seed via an enzymatic polymerization method is reported.
