Robust Risk-Constrained Unit Commitment With Large-Scale Wind Generation: An Adjustable Uncertainty Set Approach

TL;DR: A robust risk-constrained unit commitment (RRUC) formulation is proposed to cope with large-scale volatile and uncertain wind generation and, since impact of wind generation realization out of the prescribed uncertainty set on operational risk is taken into account, RRUC outperforms RUC in the case of rare events.

Energy Crowdsourcing and Peer-to-Peer Energy Trading in Blockchain-Enabled Smart Grids

TL;DR: An optimization model and blockchain-based architecture to manage the operation of crowdsourced energy systems (CESs), with peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading transactions (ETTs), and an operational model of CESs in distribution networks is presented considering various types of ETT and crowdsourcees.
Journal ArticleDOI

Representing Operational Flexibility in Generation Expansion Planning Through Convex Relaxation of Unit Commitment

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a GEP model in which the embedded operational problem is a convex relaxation of the unit commitment (UC) problem, and show the tightness and tractability of their relaxation, as well as the impact of operational flexibility on GEP.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Combined Repair Crew Dispatch Problem for Resilient Electric and Natural Gas System Considering Reconfiguration and DG Islanding

TL;DR: Case studies validate the effectiveness of the proposed method in reducing load shedding and repair duration, and prove that the interdependence has a significant impact on the repair sequence and crew coordination.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optimal Power Flow of Radial Networks and Its Variations: A Sequential Convex Optimization Approach

TL;DR: A sequential convex optimization method to solve broader classes of optimal power flow (OPF) problems over radial networks is proposed and is shown to outperform commercial nonlinear solvers in terms of robustness and efficiency.
