Residential Customer Baseline Load Estimation Using Stacked Autoencoder With Pseudo-Load Selection

TL;DR: A novel SAE based CBL method for residential customers that uses the data reconstruction capability of a stacked autoencoder (SAE) is described and test results show that the accuracy of the residential CBL reconstruction significantly improves when compared with existing methods, such as HighXofY and exponential moving average.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stochastic Market Operation for Coordinated Transmission and Distribution Systems

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-stage unit commitment model for the market operation of transmission and distribution coordination under the uncertainties of renewable generation and demand variations is proposed, where the first stage is for the independent system operator (ISO) that determines the commitment decisions of the transmission-level generators and the distribution-level system reconfiguration; the second stage optimizes the transmission economic dispatch; then distribution system operators (DSOs) in the third stage perform their economic dispatch and exchange information with the ISO at the boundary nodes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Control strategy of DFIG in hybrid micro-grid using sliding mode frequency controller and observer

TL;DR: The novel decentralised control strategy is proposed for a hybrid micro-grid by taking advantage of the observed disturbance value and frequency deviation for DFIG output dynamic adjustment according to the conventional frequency control (VIC) model.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Sustained System Oscillation by Malicious Cyber Attacks on Distributed Energy Resources

TL;DR: A cyber attack scenario in which the design flaws of the PSS are exploited and the power output of the DER is manipulated to cause sustained oscillations or even system instability is demonstrated.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Convex Optimization Based Distributed Optimal Gas-Power Flow Calculation

TL;DR: In this article, a convex optimization based distributed algorithm was proposed to solve the multi-period optimal gas-power flow (OGPF) problem in coupled energy distribution systems, where the non-convex Weymouth gas flow equations were convexified as quadratic constraints.
