Protective effect of berberine on beta cells in streptozotocin- and high-carbohydrate/high-fat diet-induced diabetic rats

TL;DR: It is suggested that berberine has protective effect for diabetes through increasing insulin expression, beta cell regeneration, antioxidant enzyme activity and decreasing lipid peroxidation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Resveratrol protects against hyperglycemia-induced oxidative damage to mitochondria by activating SIRT1 in rat mesangial cells.

TL;DR: The results suggested that resveratrol is pharmacologically promising for treating diabetic nephropathy and efficiently reduced oxidative stress and maintained mitochondrial function related with activating SIRT1 in glucose-treated mesangial cells.
Journal Article

[Determination of azathiopurine and 6-mercaptopurine in serum by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography].

TL;DR: A method for simultaneous determination of azathiopurine and its metabolite 6-mercaptopurine concentration in serum has been developed using reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography with gradient elution and dual wavelength detection.

Process for extracting rhynchophylline monomers from uncaria rhynchophylla

TL;DR: In this paper, a process for extracting rhynchophylline monomers from uncaria rhynchidophylla is described. The process comprises the following steps of: pre-treating uncaria RH medicinal materials by adopting a lower alcohol water quenching ultrasonic method to prepare a crude extract; separating RH in the crude extract by using a silicagel column chromatography method by using two organic reagents and ammonia water according to a certain proportion as an eluent.

Application of rhynchophylline in preparation of drug with anxiolytic effect and antidepressant effect

TL;DR: In this paper, a drug of indole alkaloid, and particularly related to application of rhynchophylline in preparation of adrug with an anxiolytic effect and an antidepressant effect, was described.
