Diversity analysis based on agro-morphological traits and microsatellite based markers in global germplasm collections of roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.)
H.K. Sharma,Moonmoon Sarkar,Shashi Bhushan Choudhary,Anil Kumar,R. T. Maruthi,Jiban Mitra,P. G. Karmakar +6 more
TL;DR: Different diversity parameters, structure and cluster analysis employed in the present study demonstrated more genetic diversity of fibre type roselle accessions (HSA) than calyx type (HSS), and employed agro-morphological traits and molecular markers complemented each other and imparted greater resolution to understand genetic Diversity of roseles plant genetic resources in toto.

Late-acting self-incompatibility: a barrier to self-fertilization in sunnhemp ( Crotalaria juncea L.)
Maruthi Rangappa Thimmaiah,Shashi Bhushan Choudhary,H.K. Sharma,Arroju Anil Kumar,H. R. Bhandari,Jiban Mitra,P. G. Karmakar +6 more
TL;DR: This is the first scientific communication underscoring the prevalence of self-incompatibility mechanism in sunnhemp and pollen–pistil interaction study in self-pollinated and crossed pistils revealed significant differences in pollen tube growth rates inside the pistil.
