Recent advances on cellulose nanocrystals for Pickering emulsions: Development and challenge

TL;DR: In this paper, the recent advances in cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) stabilized Pickering emulsions are highlighted, including the factors affecting the emulsification performance of CNCs itself and the synergistic effect induced by other substances.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct fabrication of hierarchically processed pineapple peel hydrogels for efficient Congo red adsorption.

TL;DR: The hierarchically processed pineapple peel was achieved by water, alkali (AT-PP), bleaching (BT-PP) and bleaching-alkali (PPC) treatments respectively for separate or simultaneous removal of hemicellulose and lignin and displayed a pH-dependent behavior and good reusability during adsorption process.
Journal ArticleDOI

Co-stabilization and properties regulation of Pickering emulsions by cellulose nanocrystals and nanofibrils from lemon seeds

TL;DR: In this paper, the cellulose nanocrystals (LSCNC) and nanofibrils from lemon seeds were isolated, characterized and used to co-stabilize Pickering emulsions under different LSCNC/LSCNF ratio.
Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular structures of octenyl succinic anhydride modified starches in relation to their ability to stabilize high internal phase emulsions and oleogels

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explored molecular structures of octenyl succinic anhydride (OSA) starches in relation to their ability to stabilize HIPE and oleogels.
