Enhancement of biological treatment of wastewater by magnetic field

TL;DR: Results revealed that activated sludge acclimatization and organic pollutant biodegradation processes under magnetic field were stimulated, resulting in a higher efficiency of wastewater treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biosynthesis of gold nanoparticles by biosorption using Magnetospirillum gryphiswaldense MSR-1

TL;DR: In this paper, Magnetospirillum gryphiswaldense MSR-1 was successfully used to reduce gold ions to a zero-valent metal in a water environment, and more importantly, to accumulate them into spherical nanoparticles on the cell surface through biosorption.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective reinforced competitive biosorption of Ag (I) and Cu (II) on Magnetospirillum gryphiswaldense

TL;DR: In this paper, the competitive biosorption of Ag (I) and Cu (II) was investigated by observing individual ion biosorptions on Magnetospirillum gryphiswaldense (MSR-1), for reference to the succeeding selective reinforced processes in binary ion systems.

Energy-saving water-saving organic silicon monomer rectifying method

TL;DR: In this paper, an energy-saving water-saving organic silicon monomer rectifying method which adopts a cis cleavage multi-tower flow is presented. But the method is not suitable for high-boiling component removing towers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hybrid distillation‐biomass adsorption process for isopropanol–water azeotrope separation

TL;DR: In this paper, a new coupling scheme to dehydrate azeotropical isopropanol-water mixture is denoted in this work, where the first distillation column in the scheme drives the crude mixture to its azeotropic point, then the fixed-bed adsorber with a compound starch adsorbent ZSG-1 helps its vapor distillate to surpass the aZEotropic point and facilitate another distillation for pure product.
