Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of certain micro and macroelements in plant stimulants and their infusions.

TL;DR: Apart from tea, other stimulants appeared to not represent important sources of potentially harmful amounts of Al for the human diet.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of DNA damage and mutagenicity induced by lead in tobacco plants.

TL;DR: Analytical studies by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry demonstrate that after a 24-h treatment of tobacco with 2.4 mM Pb2+, the accumulation of the heavy metal is 40-fold higher in the roots than in the above-ground biomass.
Journal ArticleDOI

Variation in the uptake of Arsenic, Cadmium, Lead, and Zinc by different species of willows Salix spp. grown in contaminated soils

TL;DR: The results confirmed that willow plants show promising results for several elements, mainly for mobile ones like cadmium and zinc in moderate levels of contamination, and the differences in accumulation among the clones seemed to be affected more by the properties of clones, not by the soil element concentrations or soil properties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of water-soluble and exchangeable forms of Al in acid forest soils.

TL;DR: The ECEC values, total carbon content and parameters related to soil organic matter composition (N and S content) have apparent effect on Al speciation and the most toxic Al3+ species are more concentrated in the B horizons compared to the A and E horizons.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Status of Micronutrients (Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn) in Tea and Tea Infusions in Selected Samples Imported to the Czech Republic

TL;DR: In this article, the status of micronutrients (Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn) in tea and tea infusions in selected samples imported to the Czech Republic was analyzed.
