Tonelle Handley,John Attia,Kerry J. Inder,Frances Kay-Lambkin,Frances Kay-Lambkin,Daniel Barker,Terry J. Lewin,Brian Kelly +7 more
TL;DR: Fuctuations in suicidal ideation are common, and may be associated with changes in psychological and social well-being, so public health strategies, focusing on encouraging help-seeking among those with higher psychological distress, lower social support, and unstable or absent employment opportunities, may be a useful long-term initiative to reduce the prevalence of suicidal Ideation in the general rural community.

A Clinical Decision Rule to Aid Ordering of Serum and Urine Protein Electrophoresis for Case-Finding of Paraproteins in Hospitalized Inpatients

Journal ArticleDOI
Cannabis and benzodiazepines as determinants of methadone trough plasma concentration variability in maintenance treatment: a transnational study
Richard Hallinan,Séverine Crettol,Kingsley E Agho,John Attia,Jacques Besson,Marina Croquette-Krokar,Robert Hämmig,Jean-Jacques Déglon,Andrew Byrne,John Ray,Andrew A. Somogyi,Chin B. Eap +11 more
TL;DR: Cannabis use and higher methadone doses in MMT could in part be a response to—or a cause of—more rapid methadones clearance, which is consistent with a potential competitive inhibition of CYP3A4.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficacy of glucosamine plus diacerein versus monotherapy of glucosamine: a double-blind, parallel randomized clinical trial.
Jatupon Kongtharvonskul,Patarawan Woratanarat,Mark McEvoy,John Attia,Siwadol Wongsak,Viroj Kawinwonggowit,Ammarin Thakkinstian +6 more
TL;DR: This study did not demonstrate that coadministration of diacerein with pCGS improves pain and WOMAC score compared withpCGS monotherapy in patients with mild to moderate OA of the knee.
