TL;DR: In this article, the authors found evidence for a single signal associated with endometrial cancer risk at the hepatocyte nuclear factor 1 homeobox B (HNF1B) locus, and that risk is likely mediated via altered HNF 1B gene expression.
Journal ArticleDOI
The architecture of risk for type 2 diabetes: understanding Asia in the context of global findings.
Noraidatulakma Abdullah,John Attia,Christopher Oldmeadow,Rodney J. Scott,Elizabeth G. Holliday +4 more
TL;DR: This review will provide an overview of known genetic and nongenetic risk factors for T2D, placing the results from Asian studies in the context of broader global research.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI
Memory Complaint Questionnaire performed poorly as screening tool: validation against psychometric tests and affective measures
Meagan Reid,Lynne Parkinson,Richard Gibson,Peter W. Schofield,Catherine D'Este,John Attia,Meredith Tavener,Meredith Tavener,Julie Byles +8 more
TL;DR: The MAC-Q is greatly influenced by affective status but not memory performance, and is probably not useful as a specific screen of memory complaint for general population research.
Journal ArticleDOI
