Photodegradation of organic pollutants RhB dye using UV simulated sunlight on ceria based TiO2 nanomaterials for antibacterial applications.
Kaviyarasu Kasinathan,John Kennedy,John Kennedy,Manikandan Elayaperumal,Manikandan Elayaperumal,Mohamed Henini,Mohamed Henini,Maaza Malik,Maaza Malik +8 more
TL;DR: Studying the antibacterial activity of Ce-TiO2 nanocrystals against E. coli revealed significant activity when 10 μg was used, suggesting that it can be used as an antibacterial agent.
Journal ArticleDOI
UV and humidity sensing properties of ZnO nanorods prepared by the arc discharge method.
TL;DR: It is experimentally demonstrated that ZnO nanorods obtained by the arc discharge method show excellent performance and promise for applications in both UV and humidity sensors.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vitro cytotoxicity effect and antibacterial performance of human lung epithelial cells A549 activity of Zinc oxide doped TiO 2 nanocrystals: Investigation of bio-medical application by chemical method
K. Kaviyarasu,K. Kaviyarasu,N. Geetha,K. Kanimozhi,C. Maria Magdalane,S. Sivaranjani,A. Ayeshamariam,John Kennedy,Malik Maaza +8 more
TL;DR: The synthesis of high quality ZnO doped TiO2 nanocrystals by chemical method at room temperature (RT), which exhibits antibacterial activity over a broad range of bacterial species and in particular against Stre.
Journal ArticleDOI
Controlling preferred orientation and electrical conductivity of zinc oxide thin films by post growth annealing treatment
John Kennedy,John Kennedy,Peter P. Murmu,Jérôme Leveneur,Andreas Markwitz,Andreas Markwitz,J. Futter +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the microstructural evolution of the preferred orientation and electrical conductivity of zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films prepared by ion beam sputtering was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation on the heterostructured CeO2/Y2O3 binary metal oxide nanocomposites for UV/Vis light induced photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine - B dye for textile engineering application
C. Maria Magdalane,C. Maria Magdalane,K. Kaviyarasu,K. Kaviyarasu,J. Judith Vijaya,Busi Siddhardha,B. Jeyaraj,John Kennedy,John Kennedy,Malik Maaza,Malik Maaza +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an effective synthetic strategy of pure and heterostructured CeO2/Y2O3 binary metal oxide nanostructures in distinct molar ratios (1:1, 1:2 and 2:1) in which sodium hydroxide act as a reducing agent under chemical precipitation assisted hydrothermal method (CPHM) was described.
