Journal ArticleDOI
Mass transfer effects in fermentations using immobilized whole cells
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the mass transfer limitations of mass transfer in the case of immobilized whole cells for fermentation and showed that they can be used to bring the understanding of heterogeneous catalysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Steady-State Modeling of Electroultrafiltration at Constant Concentration
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple mathematical model was developed to predict the steady-state electroultrafiltration flux for processing bovine serum albumin (BSA) solutions at constant concentration.
Book ChapterDOI
Electrophoretic Techniques for Controlling Concentration Polarization in Ultrafiltration
TL;DR: An electrophoretic technique for controlling concentration polarization has been successfully applied to the ultrafiltration of charged macrosolutes-proteins and colloidal electrodeposition paints as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Concentration Ultrafiltration and Diafiltration of Albumin with an Electric Field
John M. Radovich,Bahman Behnam +1 more
TL;DR: The time required to concentrate various starting solutions of bovine serum albumin by ultrafiltration was compared to that byUltrafiltration with an electric field—electroultrafiltration.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Semiempirical Model for Electroultrafiltration-Diafiltration
TL;DR: In this paper, an exponential relationship between protein concentration and time was used to predict the solution flux when concentrating bovine serum albumin solutions with electroultrafiltration, and the limitations of this prediction were also discussed.
