TL;DR: The present study measured the changes in the level of important immunological parameters such as prophenoloxidase, superoxide dismutase and superoxide anion in hemolymph of chitosan-encapsulated VP28 DNA-treated and controls shrimp and correlated the changes with the survival percentage and protective efficacy.

Oral administration of antiviral plant extract of Cynodon dactylon on a large scale production against White spot syndrome virus (WSSV) in Penaeus monodon

TL;DR: The plant extract of C. dactylon was found to be highly effective in preventing WSSV infection with no mortality and no signs of WSD at 2% and 40% mortality at 1% in black tiger shrimp P. monodon, respectively.
