TL;DR: In this paper , a review of the basics of physical activity and ways to incorporate physical activity counseling, assessments, and referrals within the clinical practice is presented. But despite this knowledge, only 23% of adults meet both the aerobic and muscle-strengthening physical activity guidelines, with only half of US adults meeting the aerobic activity guidelines.
