Soft Calibration Objectives for Neural Networks
Archit Karandikar,Nicholas Cain,Dustin Tran,Balaji Lakshminarayanan,Jonathon Shlens,Michael C. Mozer,Becca Roelofs +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a soft binning-based calibration loss is proposed to improve the accuracy of deep neural networks. But, the soft loss requires the classifiers to produce uncertainty estimates consistent with their empirical accuracy.

Fully attentional computer vision
TL;DR: In this article, a system implemented as computer programs on one or more computers in one or multiple locations that implements a computer vision model is described, where a positional local self-attention layer is configured to receive an input feature map and to generate an output feature map.
