Projective phase measurements in one-dimensional Bose gases

TL;DR: In this article, the authors consider time-of-flight measurements in split one-dimensional Bose gases and derive an expression for the measured particle density after trap release in terms of convolutions of the eigenvalues of vertex operators involving both sectors of the two-component Luttinger liquid that describes the low energy regime of the split condensate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microtraps and Atom Chips: Toolboxes for Cold Atom Physics

TL;DR: Magnetic microtraps and Atom Chips are safe, small-scale, reliable and flexible tools to prepare ultra-cold and degenerate atom clouds as sources for various atom-optical experiments as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the observation of decoherence with a movable mirror

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a line of interference experiments which may be able to examine the regime of induced elements of reality, based on the hypothesis that models of such elements should exhibit symmetry breaking within quantum evolution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Euler-scale dynamical correlations in integrable systems with fluid motion

TL;DR: In this paper, an iterative scheme for numerically calculating dynamical two-point correlation functions in integrable many-body systems, in the Eulerian scaling limit, was devised.
