Journal ArticleDOI
Structural details and magnetic order of La 1-x Sr x CoO 3 (x<=0.3)
Roberto Caciuffo,Daniele Rinaldi,Gianni Barucca,Jorge Mira,José Rivas,María Antonia Señarís-Rodríguez,Paolo G. Radaelli,Dino Fiorani,John B. Goodenough +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the magnetic properties of perovskite and found that the holes introduced by Sr doping are attracted to the ions where they stabilize to lowest temperatures an intermediate-spin state at neighboring trivalent cobalt.
Journal ArticleDOI
Change from first- to second-order magnetic phase transition in La 2 / 3 ( C a , S r ) 1 / 3 MnO 3 perovskites
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that not all the title perovskites exhibit a first-order transition at their Curie temperatures, while all the second-order ones do.
Journal ArticleDOI
Advances in the Preparation of Magnetic Nanoparticles by the Microemulsion Method
TL;DR: In this article, a method based on a micro-emulsion route is presented to obtain magnetic nanoparticles of different sizes, offering several advantages with respect to other similar methods, including the ability to obtain defined X-ray diffraction patterns without the complications of working in an inert atmosphere or with extra amounts of Fe2+, thereby eliminating the need for further steps in order to achieve good crystallization of the material.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetic Ordering-Induced Multiferroic Behavior in [CH3NH3][Co(HCOO)3] Metal-Organic Framework.
L. Claudia Gómez-Aguirre,Breogán Pato-Doldán,Jorge Mira,Socorro Castro-García,María Antonia Señarís-Rodríguez,Manuel Sánchez-Andújar,John Singleton,Vivien Zapf +7 more
TL;DR: The data are consistent with an inverse-DM mechanism for multiferroic behavior, as the electric polarization exhibits an unusual memory effect, as it remembers the direction of the previous two magnetic-field pulses applied.
Journal ArticleDOI
A simple solvothermal synthesis of MFe2O4 (M=Mn, Co and Ni) nanoparticles
S. Yáñez-Vilar,Manuel Sánchez-Andújar,C. Gómez-Aguirre,Jorge Mira,María Antonia Señarís-Rodríguez,Socorro Castro-García +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of the synthetic conditions (temperature, time of synthesis and nature of solvent) on the quality of the obtained ferrites and on their particle size was studied.
