Journal ArticleDOI
Productive performance and oxidative status of sheep fed diets supplemented with coffee pulp
Teodulo Salinas-Rios,M.E. Ortega-Cerrilla,M.T. Sánchez-Torres-Esqueda,Jorge Hernández-Bautista,Antonio Díaz-Cruz,José Luis Figueroa-Velasco,R. Guinzberg-Perrusquía,J.L. Cordero-Mora +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the performance, rumen fermentation and oxidative status of sheep fed diets supplemented with coffee pulp ensiled with 5% molasses, and concluded that a supplemented sheep diet with up to 16% coffee pulp did not affect their productive parameters but reduced oxidative stress.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of an herbal choline feed plant additive in lamb feedlot rations
José Alfredo Martínez-Aispuro,Germán Mendoza,José Luis Cordero-Mora,Marco A. Ayala-Monter,M.T. Sánchez-Torres,José Luis Figueroa-Velasco,Gabriela Vázquez-Silva,Adrian Gloria-Trujillo +7 more
TL;DR: An experiment was carried out to evaluate the effect of an herbal choline feed plant additive on the productive parameters and blood metabolites of finishing lambs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of fatty acids source on growth performance, carcass characteristics, plasma urea nitrogen concentration, and fatty acid profile in meat of pigs fed standard- or low-protein diets
M. Martínez-Aispuro,José Luis Figueroa-Velasco,V. Zamora-Zamora,M.T. Sánchez-Torres,M. E. Ortega-Cerrilla,J. L. Cordero-Mora,Agustín Ruíz-Flores,S. S. González-Muñoz +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated three sources of fatty acids: crude soybean oil, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and soybean soapstock in standard crude protein (CP) and low-protein diets for starter pigs.
Journal Article
Growth performance and plasma urea concentration of growing pigs fed sorghum-soybean meal, low-protein diets
Manuel Martínez-Aispuro,José Luis Figueroa-Velasco,Josué Elí Trujillo-Coutiño,Vicente Zamora-Zamora,José Luis Cordero-Mora,M.T. Sánchez-Torres,Lorenzo Reyna-Santamaría +6 more
TL;DR: The dietary crude protein (CP) can be reduced by four percentage units when corn-soybean meal (SBM) and crystalline amino acids (AA) are used to formulate di...
Journal ArticleDOI
Addition of calcium propionate to finishing lamb diets
José Alfredo Martínez-Aispuro,M.T. Sánchez-Torres,Germán David Mendoza-Martínez,José Luis Cordero-Mora,José Luis Figueroa-Velasco,Marco A. Ayala-Monter,María Magdalena Crosby-Galván +6 more
TL;DR: Martinez-Aispuro et al. as mentioned in this paper evaluated the effect of four concentrations of Ca propionate in lamb diets on productive performance and rumen fermentation and found that the optimal dose was 13.77 g kg−1 DM in feedlot rations, to attain best lamb performance.
