Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterization of novel palladium(II) complexes of bis(thiosemicarbazone). Structure, cytotoxic activity and DNA binding of Pd(II)-benzyl bis(thiosemicarbazonate).

TL;DR: The analysis of the interaction of this novel Pd-thiosemicarbazone compound with DNA secondary structure by means of circular dichroism spectroscopy indicates that it induces on the double helix conformational changes different from those induced by cis-DDP.
Journal ArticleDOI

Singly anti-anti carboxylate-bridged zig-zag chain complexes from a carboxylate-containing tridentate schiff base ligand and m(hfac)2 m = mnii, niii, and cuii : synthesis, crystal structure, and magnetic properties

TL;DR: In this article, the structure of the tridentate Schiff base H2L was solved by X-ray crystallographic methods and the magnetic properties of the three complexes were studied by susceptibility measurements as a function of the temperature and successfully analyzed in terms of the isotropic spin Hamiltonian.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of Magnetic Anisotropy and the Role of Magnetic Dilution in Triggering Single-Molecule Magnet (SMM) Behavior in a Family of CoIIYIII Dinuclear Complexes with Easy-Plane Anisotropy

TL;DR: Direct current magnetic, high-frequency and -field EPR (HFEPR), frequency domain Fourier transform THz electron paramagnetic resonance (FD-FT THz-EPR) measurements, and ab initio theoretical calculations demonstrate that CoII ions in compounds 1-3 have large and positive D values, which decrease with increasing the distortion of the pseudo-octahedral CoII coordination sphere.
Journal ArticleDOI

A cyano bridged iron(III) linear chain with alternating Fe(CN)6–Fe(cyclam) (cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclodecane) units and unexpected ferromagnetic behaviour

TL;DR: In this paper, the X-ray crystal structure and magnetic properties of a cyano-bridged iron(III) linear chain containing alternating iron sites and unexpected ferromagnetic behaviour, justified on the basis of the axial distortion from regular octahedral geometry of one of the iron ions, are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectroscopic and magnetic properties, and crystal structure of a dimer copper(II) complex via hydrogen bonding with a weak ferromagnetic interaction

TL;DR: In this paper, the preparation, spectroscopic and magnetic properties, and crystal structure of [Cu(Cl)(HL)(H2O)]2·6H 2O (HL stands for the monodeprotonated form of 4-methyl-amino-1,3-dimethyl-5((2′-carboxyphenyl)azo)uracil) are reported.
