Visitors off the trail: Impacts on the dominant plant, bryophyte and lichen species in alpine heath vegetation in sub-arctic Sweden
TL;DR: The level of low-intensity trampling recorded indicates that current numbers of hikers at the site can be sustained for longer periods with minimum impact on vascular plant species, but to get a more general understanding of the impact ofLow- intensity trampling data from additional sites are needed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Changes in plant composition and diversity in an alpine heath and meadow after 18 years of experimental warming
Juha M. Alatalo,Mohammad Bagher Erfanian,Ulf Molau,Shengbin Chen,Yang Bai,Annika K. Jägerbrand +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of long-term passive experimental warming on a heath and a meadow were analyzed using open-top chambers, and the authors determined the impact on species composition, species diversity (at the level of rare, common and dominant species), and phylogenetic and functional diversity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diversity-productivity dependent resistance of an alpine plant community to different climate change scenarios
TL;DR: In this article, the authors report from a experiment imposing different warming scenarios [control with ambient temperature, constant level of moderate warming for 3 years, stepwise increase in warming for three years, and one season of high level warming (pulse) simulating an extreme summer event] on an alpine ecosystem to study the impact on species diversity and community resistance in terms of biomass production.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Coupling Water and Fertilizer on Agronomic Traits, Sugar Content and Yield of Sugarcane in Guangxi, China
TL;DR: In this paper , the effects of water and fertilizer on agronomic traits (plant high, stem diameter, effective stem number and single stem weight), sugarcane yield and sugar content were studied in Guangxi (southwest China) from 2018-2020.
