Journal ArticleDOI
Cardiac autonomic dysfunction in chronic stroke women is attenuated after submaximal exercise test, as evaluated by linear and nonlinear analysis
Juliana Valente Francica,Aline Bigongiari,Luis Mochizuki,Kátia Bilhar Scapini,Oscar A Moraes,Cristiano Mostarda,Erico Chagas Caperuto,Maria Claudia Irigoyen,Kátia De Angelis,Bruno Rodrigues,Bruno Rodrigues +10 more
TL;DR: After the exercise test, women with chronic stroke presented reduced heart rate variability, reduced cardiac vagal modulation, as well as reduced HRR, while displayed an improvement ofheart rate variability and cardiacvagal modulation when compared to their baseline.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impairment on cardiovascular and autonomic adjustments to maximal isometric exercise tests in offspring of hypertensive parents.
Juliana Valente Francica,Marcelo V. Heeren,Márcio Tubaldini,Michelle Sartori,Cristiano Mostarda,Rubens Correa Araújo,Maria Claudia Irigoyen,Kátia De Angelis +7 more
TL;DR: The data demonstrated increased resting cardiac sympathetic modulation in offspring of hypertensive parents at similar levels to that observed after a mental stress test or a maximal isometric exercise test, thus reinforcing these evaluations as important tools for detecting early dysfunctions in this genetically predisposed population.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reference Values for the 6-min Walk Distance in Healthy Children Age 7 to 12 Years in Brazil: Main Results of the TC6minBrasil Multi-Center Study.
Lucas de Assis Pereira Cacau,Vitor Oliveira Carvalho,Alessandro dos Santos Pin,Carlos Raphael Araujo Daniel,Daisy Satomi Ykeda,Eliane Maria de Carvalho,Juliana Valente Francica,Luiza Martins Faria,Mansueto Gomes-Neto,Marcelo Fernandes,Marcelo Velloso,Marlus Karsten,Patrícia de Sá Barros,Valter J. Santana-Filho,Tc minBrasil Investigators +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, reference values were established for the 6MWT in healthy children aged 7-12 y in Brazil, and an equation was developed to predict the 6-min walk distance for healthy children in Brazil.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aerobic program in persons with stroke: a systematic review.
Juliana Valente Francica,Aline Bigongiari,Luis Mochizuki,Maria Luiza de Jesus Miranda,Bruno Rodrigues +4 more
TL;DR: Exercise training is a promising tool for the management of post-stroke patients, both in terms of improved cardiovascular and functional capacity and further studies are needed to widen the scope of therapeutic management of this population.
Journal ArticleDOI
Familial history of hypertension-induced impairment on heart rate variability was not observed in strength-trained subjects
F. A. Santa-Rosa,Guilherme Lemos Shimojo,Michelle Sartori,Alexandre Correia Rocha,Juliana Valente Francica,J. Paiva,Maria Claudia Irigoyen,K. De Angelis +7 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that strength-trained offspring of hypertensives did not present impaired HRV, thus reinforcing the benefits of an active lifestyle in the prevention of early dysfunctions associated with the onset of hypertension in predisposed populations.
