Journal ArticleDOI

Fine mapping and identification of candidate rice genes associated with qSTV11 SG , a major QTL for rice stripe disease resistance

TL;DR: Fine mapping of a RSV resistance QTL on chromosome 11, qSTV11SG, using near-isogenic lines derived from a cross between the highly resistant variety, Shingwang, and the highly susceptible variety, Ilpum, using 11 insertion and deletion (InDel) markers showed that there were several amino acid substitutions between susceptible and resistant varieties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functional markers for bacterial blight resistance gene Xa3 in rice

TL;DR: Polymerase chain reaction-based functional markers were developed based on the single nucleotide polymorphism from the Xa3 and xa3 nucleotide sequence and could be effective for marker-assisted selection of the XA3 gene in rice breeding programs.
Journal ArticleDOI

OsTGA2 confers disease resistance to rice against leaf blight by regulating expression levels of disease related genes via interaction with NH1.

TL;DR: OsTGA2 can directly regulate the expression of defense related genes and increase the resistance of rice against bacterial leaf blight disease, according to results of quadruple 9-mer protein-binding microarray analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural and quantitative analysis of antioxidant and low-density lipoprotein-antioxidant flavonoids from the grains of sugary rice.

TL;DR: A simple and efficient high-performance liquid chromatography/diode array detection method for the simultaneous determination of the four bioactive flavonoids has been developed and applied to their content determination in the sugary rice.
