Measurements of Secondary Electron Emission From Dielectric Window Materials
TL;DR: In this paper, the total secondary electron emission (SEE) coefficients of several inorganic and organic dielectric materials including polytetrafluoroethylene (PFLE), polyethylene, alumina ceramic, and machinable ceramic were investigated using pulsed electron beam impacting the materials with energies from 200 eV to 5 keV.
Journal ArticleDOI
Classification and separation of partial discharge ultra-high-frequency signals in a 252 kV gas insulated substation by using cumulative energy technique
Ming-Xiao Zhu,Jianyi Xue,Jia-Ning Zhang,Yuan Li,Junbo Deng,Hai-Bao Mu,Guan-Jun Zhang,Xian-Jun Shao,Xiao-Wei Liu +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, an UHF signal feature extraction algorithm based on cumulative energy (CE) technique is proposed for partial discharge (PD) detection in gas insulated substation (GIS).
Journal ArticleDOI
Surface charge distribution patterns of a truncated cone-type spacer for high-voltage direct current gas-insulated metal-enclosed transmission line/gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear
Jianyi Xue,Han Wang,Yan-Qin Liu,Li Kefeng,Liu Xiangyu,Fan Xiaofeng,Junbo Deng,Guan-Jun Zhang,Baohong Guo +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the surface potential over a truncated cone-type spacer under DC voltage in SF 6 gas at atmospheric pressure using a Kelvin vibrating electrostatic probe was measured.
Journal ArticleDOI
Residual Charge Distribution of Surface Leader Discharge Under Positive Impulse Voltage
TL;DR: In this paper, a dc feedback-type electrostatic probe based on the field-nullifying technique was used to measure the residual charge density distribution after the occurrence of a positive leader discharge using 2D Fourier transformation in the spatial domain and Tikhonov's regularization method.
Journal ArticleDOI
UHF antenna array arrangement optimization for partial discharge direction finding in air-insulted substation based on phased array theory
Qing Liu,Ming-Xiao Zhu,Yan-Bo Wang,Junbo Deng,Yuan Li,Guan-Jun Zhang,Xian-Jun Shao,Xuefeng Zhao +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a phased array theory from radar field is introduced to estimate the direction-of-arrival (DOA) of PD source to reduce the array size, and the results indicate that 4-elements UCA with 0.2m element spacing is the optimum array arrangement for PD location in AIS.
