TL;DR: These results suggest that the prevailing gradient of predictor variables may have influenced the structuring of coral reef communities at a spatial scale larger than the individual reef, and it is conceivable that these predictor variables exerted influence for a long time rather than being a recent event.

A western Atlantic peppermint shrimp complex: redescription of Lysmata wurdemanni, description of four new species, and remarks on Lysmata rathbunae (Crustacea: Decapoda: Hippolytidae)

TL;DR: The first revision of the western Atlantic peppermint shrimp complex Lysmata wurdemanni (Gibbes) is presented in this article, where four new species are recognized: Lysmsata ankeri n. sp. sp., Lysmsma rathbunae Chace is rediagnosed; the locality of this species is restricted to Florida and Yucatan; Chace’s “variety” of L. rath bahia is separated from L. wrath bunae and assigned to a new species.
