Journal ArticleDOI
Ab initio characterization of layered MoS2 as anode for sodium-ion batteries
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the efficacy of layered molybdenum disulphide (MoS 2 ) as a host electrode material for rechargeable Na-ion batteries.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced charge carrier mobility in two-dimensional high dielectric molybdenum oxide.
Sivacarendran Balendhran,Junkai Deng,Jian Zhen Ou,Sumeet Walia,James Scott,Jianshi Tang,Kang L. Wang,Matthew R. Field,Salvy P. Russo,Serge Zhuiykov,Michael S. Strano,Nikhil V. Medhekar,Sharath Sriram,Madhu Bhaskaran,Kourosh Kalantar-zadeh +14 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the energy bandgap of layered, high-dielectric α-MoO(3) can be reduced to values viable for the fabrication of 2D electronic devices through embedding Coulomb charges within the high dielectric media, advantageously limiting charge scattering.
Journal ArticleDOI
Facile preparation of nanosized MoP as cocatalyst coupled with g-C3N4 by surface bonding state for enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen production
Cheng Cheng,Shichao Zong,Jinwen Shi,Fei Xue,Yazhou Zhang,Xiangjiu Guan,Botong Zheng,Junkai Deng,Liejin Guo +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, nanosized MoP was synthetized in a novel phosphorization process at a relatively low temperature under an ambient-air atmosphere and then assembled with g-C3N4 to form MoP/g-C 3N4 coupled photocatalyst by a mixing and heat-treating method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Superelasticity in bcc Nanowires by a Reversible Twinning Mechanism
Suzhi Li,Xiangdong Ding,Xiangdong Ding,Junkai Deng,Junkai Deng,Turab Lookman,Ju Li,Ju Li,Xiaobing Ren,Xiaobing Ren,Jun Sun,Avadh Saxena +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used molecular-dynamics simulations to show that some bcc metal nanowires exhibit superelasticity by a reversible twinning mechanism, in contrast to the above conventional point of view.
Journal ArticleDOI
Elastic softening of alloy negative electrodes for Na-ion batteries
TL;DR: In this article, the intrinsic elastic properties of crystalline Na-M phases observed during Na intercalation were investigated using first-principle simulations, and the complete set of concentration-dependent anisotropic elastic constants as well as the average macroscopic elastic moduli of polycrystalline structures were obtained.
