Superconductivity in a layered perovskite without copper
Yoshiteru Maeno,Hiroaki Hashimoto,K. Yoshida,S. Nishizaki,Toshizo Fujita,Johannes Georg Bednorz,Frank Lichtenberg +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the presence of copper is not a prerequisite for the existence of superconductivity in a layered perovskite, and that the low value of the superconducting transition temperature (Tc = 0.93 K) points towards a special role for copper in the high-temperature superconductors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Two-Dimensional Fermi Liquid Behavior of the Superconductor Sr2RuO4
Yoshiteru Maeno,Yoshiteru Maeno,K. Yoshida,Hiroaki Hashimoto,S. Nishizaki,S. Nishizaki,Shinichi Ikeda,Shinichi Ikeda,Minoru Nohara,Toshizo Fujita,Andrew P. Mackenzie,N.E. Hussey,J. Georg Bednorz,Frank Lichtenberg +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, normal state measurements of the resistivity, magnetic susceptibility and specific heat of high quality single crystals of Sr 2 RuO 4, the only copper-free, layered perovskite superconductor (T c ≈ 1 K), were reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anisotropic pairing in superconducting Sr 2 RuO 4 : Ru NMR and NQR studies
Kenji Ishida,Yoshio Kitaoka,Kunisuke Asayama,Shinichi Ikeda,S. Nishizaki,Yoshiteru Maeno,K. Yoshida,T. Fujita +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a single-crystal Ru NMR and nuclear quadrupole resonance studies were performed on a single crystal with the same layered perovskite structure as the superconducting state.
Journal ArticleDOI
Normal-state and superconducting properties of Sr2RuO4
TL;DR: In this article, the copper-free layered perovskite superconductor Sr2RuO4 has been reproducibly obtained, for which a sharp transition at Tc = 1.2 K has been obtained.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anisotropic superconductivity of Sr2RuO4
TL;DR: In this article, the upper critical field H c 2 of single crystalline Sr 2 RuO 4, which is the only known layered-perovskite superconductor without copper, was reported.
