Future challenges for clinical care of an ageing population infected with HIV: a modelling study
Mikaela Smit,Kees Brinkman,Suzanne E. Geerlings,Colette Smit,Kalyani Thyagarajan,Ard van Sighem,Frank de Wolf,Timothy B. Hallett +7 more
TL;DR: The profile of patients in the Netherlands infected with HIV is changing, with increasing numbers of older patients with multiple morbidities, which means that, in the near future, HIV care will increasingly need to draw on a wide range of medical disciplines, in addition to evidence-based screening and monitoring protocols to ensure continued high-quality care.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polarity mediates asymmetric trafficking of the Gβ heterotrimeric G-protein subunit GPB-1 in C. elegans embryos
TL;DR: It is reported that the distribution of the Gβ subunit GPB-1, a negative regulator of force generators, varies across the cell cycle, with levels at the cell membrane being lowest during mitosis, and modulation of Gβ trafficking plays a crucial role during the asymmetric division of one-cell stage C. elegans embryos.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clathrin regulates centrosome positioning by promoting acto-myosin cortical tension in C. elegans embryos
Zoltán Spiró,Kalyani Thyagarajan,Alessandro De Simone,Sylvain Träger,Katayoun Afshar,Pierre Gönczy +5 more
TL;DR: It is proposed that clathrin plays a critical role in centrosome positioning by promoting acto-myosin cortical tension in one-cell C. elegans embryos.

Clathrin regulates centrosome positioning by promoting acto-myosin cortical tension in C. elegans embryos
Zoltán Spiró,Kalyani Thyagarajan,Alessandro De Simone,Sylvain Träger,Katayoun Afshar,Pierre Gönczy +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the clathrin heavy chain CHC-1 negatively regulates pulling forces acting on centrosomes during interphase and on spindle poles during mitosis in one-cell C. elegans embryos.
