Bovine leukemia virus integration site selection in cattle that develop leukemia
Hironobu Murakami,Takahito Yamada,Miho Suzuki,Yusuke Nakahara,Kazuhiko Suzuki,Hiroshi Sentsui +5 more
TL;DR: The bovine leukemia virus (BLV) provirus favored the integration into regions disadvantageous for viral gene expression since no integration site was preferentially located into/near CDS, transcription start site or CpG island, and it is suggested that the integration site of the BLV provirus in leukemic cells is related to the suppression of viral geneexpression.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pathological and immunohistochemical features of subdural histiocytic sarcomas in 15 dogs
TL;DR: The findings suggest that differences in cell origin, molecular expression, or both patterns are responsible for the distribution patterns of canine subdural histiocytic sarcomas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antioxidant N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) supplementation reduces reactive oxygen species (ROS)-mediated hepatocellular tumor promotion of indole-3-carbinol (I3C) in rats.
Keisuke Shimamoto,Keisuke Shimamoto,Hitomi Hayashi,Hitomi Hayashi,Eriko Taniai,Eriko Taniai,Reiko Morita,Reiko Morita,Masako Imaoka,Yuji Ishii,Kazuhiko Suzuki,Makoto Shibutani,Kunitoshi Mitsumori +12 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that oxidative stress plays an important role for I3C's tumor promotion, and NAC suppresses induction of hepatocellular altered foci with suppressed cytoplasmic oxidative stress.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reversible aberration of neurogenesis targeting late-stage progenitor cells in the hippocampal dentate gyrus of rat offspring after maternal exposure to acrylamide.
Bunichiro Ogawa,Liyun Wang,Takumi Ohishi,Eriko Taniai,Eriko Taniai,Hirotoshi Akane,Kazuhiko Suzuki,Kunitoshi Mitsumori,Makoto Shibutani +8 more
TL;DR: Developmental exposure to AA reversibly affects hippocampal neurogenesis targeting the proliferation of type-3 progenitor cells resulting in a decrease in immature granule cells in rats.
Journal ArticleDOI
Similar distribution changes of GABAergic interneuron subpopulations in contrast to the different impact on neurogenesis between developmental and adult-stage hypothyroidism in the hippocampal dentate gyrus in rats
Ayako Shiraki,Hirotoshi Akane,Takumi Ohishi,Liyun Wang,Reiko Morita,Kazuhiko Suzuki,Kunitoshi Mitsumori,Makoto Shibutani +7 more
TL;DR: Subpopulation changes in GABAergic interneuron subpopulations by hypothyroidism may be the signature of aberrant neurogenesis even at the adult stage.
