Journal ArticleDOI

Vapour-phase oxidation of diamond surfaces in O2 studied by diffuse reflectance Fourier-transform infrared and temperture-programmed desorption spectroscopy

TL;DR: In this article, the authors deal with the mechanistic considerations for the oxidation of diamond surfaces and show that the structures of the chemisorbed species changed with the oxidation temperature, and the maximum coverage of oxygen was obtained between 480 and 500 °C.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemical modification of diamond surfaces using a chlorinated surface as an intermediate state

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used IR Fourier transform spectroscopy and temperature-programmed desorption spectrographs to find OH, NH, and CF groups on the diamond surface.
Journal ArticleDOI

Surface vibrational studies of CVD diamond

TL;DR: In this paper, the surface vibrations of adsorbed hydrogen were investigated on homoepitaxially grown boron-doped single-crystal (001) and (111) films.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct interaction of elemental fluorine with diamond surfaces

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (IRT) spectrograms to detect the presence of fluorine on diamond powder surfaces and showed that CO stretching peaks increase in intensity with increase in fluorination temperature.
