Journal ArticleDOI
Dual antiplatelet therapy using cilostazol for secondary prevention in patients with high-risk ischaemic stroke in Japan: a multicentre, open-label, randomised controlled trial.
Kazunori Toyoda,Shinichiro Uchiyama,Takenori Yamaguchi,J. Donald Easton,Kazumi Kimura,Haruhiko Hoshino,Nobuyuki Sakai,Yasushi Okada,Kortaro Tanaka,Hideki Origasa,Hiroaki Naritomi,Kiyohiro Houkin,Keiji Yamaguchi,Masanori Isobe,Kazuo Minematsu,Shinya Goto,Tatsuya Isomura,Masayasu Matsumoto,Yasuo Terayama,Hidekazu Tomimoto,Teiji Tominaga,Satoshi Yasuda,Naoko Kumagai +22 more
TL;DR: The combination of cilostazol with aspirin or clopidogrel had a reduced incidence of ischaemic stroke recurrence and a similar risk of severe or life-threatening bleeding compared with treatment with aspirin.
Journal ArticleDOI
CCL22 and CCL17 in rat radiation pneumonitis and in human idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis
Takashi Inoue,Seitaro Fujishima,Eiji Ikeda,O. Yoshie,N. Tsukamoto,Sadakazu Aiso,Naoki Aikawa,Atsushi Kubo,Kouji Matsushima,Keiji Yamaguchi +9 more
TL;DR: It was speculated that CCL22, and probably CCL17, are involved in the pathophysiology of radiation pneumonitis/pulmonary fibrosis and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis through the recruitment of CC chemokine receptor 4‐positive type‐2 T‐helper cells and alveolar macrophages.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical features and varieties of non-motor fluctuations in Parkinson's disease: a Japanese multicenter study.
Morinobu Seki,Kazushi Takahashi,Daisuke Uematsu,Ban Mihara,Yoko Morita,Kazuo Isozumi,Kouichi Ohta,Kazuhiro Muramatsu,Toshitaka Shirai,Shigeru Nogawa,Jun Gotoh,Keiji Yamaguchi,Yutaka Tomita,Daisuke Yasutomi,Yoshihiro Nihei,Satoko Iwasawa,Norihiro Suzuki +16 more
TL;DR: Appropriate recognition of levodopa-related fluctuations, both motor and non-motor, can lead to treatment modifications in Parkinson's disease patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Morinobu Seki,Kazushi Takahashi,Atsuo Koto,Ban Mihara,Yoko Morita,Kazuo Isozumi,Kouichi Ohta,Kazuhiro Muramatsu,Jun Gotoh,Keiji Yamaguchi,Yutaka Tomita,Hideki Sato,Yoshihiro Nihei,Satoko Iwasawa,Norihiro Suzuki +14 more
TL;DR: The aim of this work was to investigate the prevalence of camptocormia and the clinical characteristics of patients with camptOCormia in a large population of PD patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
REM sleep behavior disorder in Japanese patients with Parkinson’s disease: a multicenter study using the REM sleep behavior disorder screening questionnaire
Yoshihiro Nihei,Kazushi Takahashi,Atsuo Koto,Ban Mihara,Yoko Morita,Kazuo Isozumi,Kouichi Ohta,Kazuhiro Muramatsu,Jun Gotoh,Keiji Yamaguchi,Yutaka Tomita,Hideki Sato,Morinobu Seki,Satoko Iwasawa,Norihiro Suzuki +14 more
TL;DR: It is revealed that RBD is a frequent non-motor symptom in Japanese patients with PD, which may precede the onset of motor symptoms, and RBD that increases with the duration and severity of PD may be associated with autonomic dysfunction.
