Journal ArticleDOI

Ferroelectricity from iron valence ordering in the charge-frustrated system LuFe2O4.

TL;DR: Experimental evidence for ferroelectricity arising from electron correlations in the triangular mixed valence oxide, LuFe2O4 is reported, and resonant X-ray scattering measurements are used to determine the ordering of the Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic Properties of Perovskite GdCrO3

TL;DR: In this paper, the gadolinium orthochromate GdCrO3 exhibits negative magnetization when magnetization-temperature curves are measured in a field-cooled mode with low applied fields ( ∼25 K).
Journal ArticleDOI

Positive exchange bias from magnetization reversal in La1−xPrxCrO3 (x ∼ 0.7–0.85)

TL;DR: The perovskite chromite La1−xPrxCrO3 shows an unusual positive exchange bias (PEB) and a negative exchange bias associated with magnetization reversal, arising from an antiparallel Pr3+-Cr3+ coupling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic and dielectric properties of RFe2O4, RFeMO4, and RGaCuO4 (R=Yb and Lu, M=Co and Cu)

TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic and dielectric properties of oxides were investigated for the isostructural oxides of $R{\mathrm{Fe}} and $R{Fe}M{O}O}, and they showed that magnetic ordering becomes short-ranged by the substitution at the Fe site.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic Properties of La1−xPrxCrO3

TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic properties of perovskite La 1− x Pr x CrO 3 (0≤ x ≤ 1) were investigated based on dc magnetization and neutron diffraction measurements.
