Journal ArticleDOI
Hierarchical assembly of ZnO nanowire trunks decorated with ZnO nanosheets for lithium ion battery anodes
Dongheun Kim,Sun Hae Ra Shin,Yeon Hoo Kim,Kenneth Crossley,Yerim Kim,Hyungkyu Han,Jinkyoung Yoo +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors systematically studied the effects of hierarchical ZnO nanostructures on the electrochemical performance of lithium-ion battery (LIB) anodes, and found that the branched NN-structures exhibited a two-fold higher specific gravimetric capacity compared to ZnN-Structures.
Journal ArticleDOI
A controlled nucleation and growth of Si nanowires by using a TiN diffusion barrier layer for lithium-ion batteries
Dong-Hyeong Kim,Towfiq Ahmed,Kenneth Crossley,Jon K. Baldwin,Sun Hae Ra Shin,Yeon Hoo Kim,Chris J. Sheehan,Nan Li,Douglas V. Pete,Henry H. Han,Jinkyoung Yoo +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a simple approach to control the nucleation of Si nanowires via interfacial energy tuning between metal catalysts and substrates by introducing a conductive diffusion barrier was developed.
