In situ atomic-scale imaging of electrochemical lithiation in silicon
Xiao Hua Liu,Jiangwei Wang,Shan Huang,Feifei Fan,Xu Huang,Yang Liu,Sergiy Krylyuk,Sergiy Krylyuk,Jinkyoung Yoo,Shadi A. Dayeh,Albert V. Davydov,Scott X. Mao,Scott X. Mao,S. Tom Picraux,Sulin Zhang,Ju Li,Ting Zhu,Jian Yu Huang +17 more
TL;DR: It is shown that in situ transmission electron microscopy can be used to study the dynamic lithiation process of single-crystal silicon with atomic resolution and observe a sharp interface between the crystalline silicon and an amorphous Li(x)Si alloy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stranks,Richard H. Friend,Mercouri G. Kanatzidis,Aditya D. Mohite +19 more
TL;DR: Efficient and stable LEDs processed from solution with tunable color enabled by using phase-pure 2D Ruddlesden-Popper (RP) halide perovskites with a formula (CH3 (CH2 )3 NH3 )2 (CH4 NH3)n-1 Pbn I3n+1 are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
A fabrication process for flexible single-crystal perovskite devices
Yusheng Lei,Yimu Chen,Ruiqi Zhang,Yuheng Li,Qizhang Yan,Seunghyun Lee,Yugang Yu,Hsinhan Tsai,Woojin Choi,Kaiping Wang,Yanqi Luo,Yue Gu,Xinran Zheng,Chunfeng Wang,Chonghe Wang,Hongjie Hu,Yang Li,Baiyan Qi,Muyang Lin,Zhuorui Zhang,Shadi A. Dayeh,Matt Pharr,David P. Fenning,Yu-Hwa Lo,Jian Luo,Kesong Yang,Jinkyoung Yoo,Wanyi Nie,Sheng Xu +28 more
TL;DR: A solution-based lithography-assisted epitaxial-growth-and-transfer method is used to fabricate single-crystal hybrid perovskites on any surface, with precise control of the thickness, area and chemical composition gradient.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and optical properties of S-doped ZnO nanostructures: nanonails and nanowires.
TL;DR: Low-temperature photoluminescence spectra of ZnO samples showed two luminescence peaks in the UV and green emission region, respectively, and as the concentration of sulfur in the ZnNO nanostructures increased, the intensity of the UV emission peak decreased dramatically, and it showed a little blue-shift while theintensity of the green emission increased greatly.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of single-crystal CdS microbelts using a modified thermal evaporation method and their photoluminescence
TL;DR: Large-scale synthesis of single-crystal CdS microbelts was achieved by a modified thermal evaporation method, in which an adiabatic layer was used to provide abrupt temperature decrease and high gas concentration for the microbelt growth.
