Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase 1B Antagonizes Signalling by Oncoprotein Tyrosine Kinase p210 bcr-abl In Vivo
Kenneth R. LaMontagne,Kenneth R. LaMontagne,Andrew J. Flint,B. Robert Franza,Ann Marie Pendergast,Nicholas K. Tonks +5 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that expression of PTP1B is enhanced specifically in various cells expressing p210 bcr-abl, including a cell line derived from a patient with CML, and it is suggested that PTP 1B may function as a specific, negative regulator of p 210 b cr-abl signalling in vivo.
Journal ArticleDOI
Protein tyrosine phosphatase PTP1B suppresses p210 bcr-abl-induced transformation of Rat-1 fibroblasts and promotes differentiation of K562 cells
TL;DR: expression of either wild-type PTP1B or the substrate-trapping mutant form of the enzyme in p210 bcr-abl-transformed Rat-1 fibroblasts diminished the ability of these cells to form colonies in soft agar, to grow in reduced serum, and to form tumors in nude mice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cloning and expression of the chicken protein tyrosine phosphatase SH-PTP2
Chong Yon Park,Kenneth R. LaMontagne,Kenneth R. LaMontagne,Nicholas K. Tonks,Michael J. Hayman +4 more
TL;DR: Northern and Western blot analyses show that chicken SH-PTP2 is expressed ubiquitously like those of mammals and Xenopus, which suggests that chicken Sh2 may have analogous biological roles to those of mammal.
