Journal ArticleDOI
A critical review on TiO2 based photocatalytic CO2 reduction system: Strategies to improve efficiency
Nasir Shehzad,Nasir Shehzad,Muhammad Tahir,Khairiraihanna Johari,Thanabalan Murugesan,Murid Hussain +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the main challenges in photocatalytic CO2 reduction systems and strategies to improve the efficiency of solar fuels production were discussed. And the challenges lingering on against achieving the higher photocalytic conversion of CO2 into solar fuels are also investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorption enhancement of elemental mercury by various surface modified coconut husk as eco-friendly low-cost adsorbents
TL;DR: In this paper, the surface morphology and surface functional groups of adsorbents significantly changed after treatments and resulted in different Hg0 adsorption performances, and the experimental breakthrough data for all the adsorbent produced a good fit to the pseudo-second order kinetic model.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fabrication of highly efficient and stable indirect Z-scheme assembly of AgBr/TiO2 via graphene as a solid-state electron mediator for visible light induced enhanced photocatalytic H2 production
Nasir Shehzad,Nasir Shehzad,Muhammad Tahir,Khairiraihanna Johari,Thanabalan Murugesan,Murid Hussain +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an indirect Z-schematic assembly of AgBr and TiO2 via graphene as a solid-state electron mediator was developed and investigated for photocatalytic H2 production.
Journal ArticleDOI
Removal of Hg(II) from Aqueous Solution by Adsorption Using Raw and Chemically Modified Rice Straw As Novel Adsorbents
TL;DR: In this paper, a mercapto-grafted rice straw (RS-GM) was synthesized and characterized against raw rice straw, and the results showed that the RS-GM yielded a better Hg(II) biosorption performance compared to RS-Raw.
Journal ArticleDOI
A review on adsorptive removal of oil pollutants (BTEX) from wastewater using carbon nanotubes
Hirra Anjum,Khairiraihanna Johari,Nirmala Gnanasundaram,Magesh Ganesapillai,Appusamy Arunagiri,Iyyaswami Regupathi,Murugesan Thanabalan +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a review summarizes the recent literature on the adsorptive removal of BTEX from wastewater using carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and recognizes a number of encouraging avenues and approaches for the upcoming research thrust.
