Anion-exchange reactions of layered double hydroxides

TL;DR: In this article, a small equivalent area forces the alkyl chain compounds to point away from the interlamellar surfaces and to form monomolecular films of high regularity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anion-exchange reactions of hydroxy double salts

TL;DR: In this article, a class of layered materials which are similar to layered double hydroxides (LDH's) and show a comparable intracrystalline reactivity are described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intercalation and exchange reactions of clay minerals and non-clay layer compounds

TL;DR: A large variety of layered materials are synthesized that are able to intercalate neutral guest molecules or to exchange inorganic and organic ions for interlayer ions as discussed by the authors, and several of these materials are also found as minerals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anionic surfactants between double metal hydroxide layers

TL;DR: In this paper, a mixture of surfactant and alkyl sulfate ions is used to form a monolayer of double metal hydroxide layers, with the chains tilted about 56° to the hyroxide sheet, and small organic molecules are intercalated with maintenance of the 56° chain orientation.
