Powdered aqueous carotenoid dispersions

TL;DR: In this paper, a suspension of a carotenoid in a high-boiling oil is brought into contact with superheated steam during a maximum period of 30 seconds, and subsequently emulsified the liquified solution of said carotensoid in oil produced by said contact in an aqueous solution of a colloid and then spraying and drying said emulsion to a powder.

Evaluation of a New High-Pressure Dispersion Unit (HPN) for Emulsification

TL;DR: In this paper, the drop breakup behavior of a new high-pressure nozzle is investigated with the example of oil-in-water emulsions and compared to the breakup behaviour of a state-of-the-art nozzle and to available data published.

Process for the production of carotinoid preparations

TL;DR: In this paper, a suspension of a carotenoid in a high-boiling oil was contacted with superheated steam for a period not exceeding 30 seconds, subsequently the resulting mixture was emulsified in an aqueous solution of a colloid, and then the emulsion being sprayed and dried.

Method and device for mixing or dispersing liquids

TL;DR: In this article, a method for mixing or dispersing liquids, which consists of pumping the liquids to be mixed or dispersed in the presence of an emulsifier at temperatures from about 20 to about 250, and pressures from about 50 bar to about 2500 bar, was described.

Verfahren zur Herstellung von Carotinoidpräparaten

TL;DR: In this article, a new Verfahren zur Herstellung von Carotinoidpraparaten beschrieben, wobei man eine Suspension eines Carotinoides in einem hochsiedenden Oel wahrend einer Zeitdauer von hochstens 30 Sekunden mit uberhitztem Wasserdampf in Kontakt bringt, anschliessend das erhaltene Gemisch in eine wassrige Losung eines Kollo
