An ab initio study of the mechanism of the Atherton-Todd reaction between dimethyl phosphonate and chloro- and fluoro-substituted methanes

TL;DR: In this paper, a new mechanism for the amine promoted Atherton-Todd reaction is proposed, based on an ab initio theoretical study of alternative reaction pathways, and the geometries of the studied systems have been fully optimized with the 6-3 1+G* basis set, whereas frozen-core Maller-Plesset perturbation theory has been applied to correct for correlation effects.
Journal ArticleDOI

Review characteristic reactions of the alkoxy groups of the acid diesters of phosphorous acid

TL;DR: In this paper, the characteristic reactions of the alkoxy group of the acid diesters of phosphorous acid (RO)2 P(O)H: transesterification, alkylation, and dealkylation are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, antiproliferative activity and genotoxicity of novel anthracene-containing aminophosphonates and a new anthracene-derived Schiff base.

TL;DR: 9-Anthrylidene-furfurylamine and [N-methyl(diethoxyphosphonyl)-1-(9-anthryl)]furfurelamine were most potent cytotoxic agents towards colon carcinoma cell line HT-29 and moderate genotoxic and antiproliferative activity in vivo and low toxicity to Balb/c 3T3 (clone 31) mouse embryo cells were observed for all tested compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of phosphorus‐containing polyurethanes without use of isocyanates

TL;DR: In this paper, a combination of molecular weight determination (GPC) and NMR spectroscopy was used to characterize phosphorus-containing polyurethanes and the thermal stability of the polymers was evaluated by a combined of TGA and DTA techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI

Immobilization of bioactive substances on poly(alkylene phosphate)s, 1. Immobilization of 2‐phenylethylamine

TL;DR: In this paper, the Atherton-Todd reaction in methanol as a solvent was used to immobilize 2-phenylethylamine on poly(alkylene phosphate)s via ionic bonds.
