Journal ArticleDOI

Species composition and seasonal abundance of pestiferous plant bugs (Hemiptera: Miridae) on Bt Cotton in China

TL;DR: This paper suggests that L. lucorum, L. pratensis, and A. suturalis should be treated as the main targets for developing pestiferous mirid forecasting and management strategies, which would be defined at or prior to the flowering and squaring stages of cotton in China.
Journal ArticleDOI

Current status and potential of conservation biological control for agriculture in the developing world

TL;DR: There is potential for well-orchestrated regional research projects to pursue higher levels of CBC integration into current pest management schemes, and a first step in drawing a roadmap for developing-world research that provides local farmers with safe, low-cost means to control damaging insect pests, safeguard harvests and secure their livelihoods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Population responses by Orius insidiosus to vegetational diversity

TL;DR: Higher abundance of O. insidiosus in vegetationally diverse habitats could be related to improved fitness of the predator, which in turn is related to certain plant qualities (e.g., nutrition, plant architecture, etc.).
