Optimization and kinetics of biodiesel production from Mahua oil using manganese doped zinc oxide nanocatalyst

TL;DR: In this paper, a manganese doped zinc oxide nanocatalyst was used as a heterogeneous catalyst for the production of biodiesel from Mahua oil and the presence of methyl esters in biodiesel was confirmed by FT-IR and GC-MS analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transesterification of castor oil for biodiesel production: Process optimization and characterization

TL;DR: In this article, a batch scale biodiesel production was carried out using castor oil by alkali-catalyzed transesterification process was reported, which was optimized by conventional method followed by statistical based central composite design method, according to the optimized experimental results, the maximum of 94.9% FAME yield was obtained at 60°C with 1.25% KOH catalyst and 1:12 oil: methanol molar ratio for 60min of reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fractionation and characterization of lignin from waste rice straw: Biomass surface chemical composition analysis.

TL;DR: These structural characterizations of lignin and biomass are beneficial for further processing in bio-refinery industry.
Journal ArticleDOI

Protic ionic liquid-assisted cell disruption and lipid extraction from fresh water Chlorella and Chlorococcum microalgae

TL;DR: Results show PILs with formate and hexanoate anions can be utilized for a relatively energy efficient, one-step cell disruption and lipid extraction process from wet microalgae.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Characterization of Cobalt doped Manganese Oxide Nanoparticles by Chemical Route

TL;DR: In this article, the structural properties of cobalt doped α-Mn2O3 nanoparticles were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis.
