Journal ArticleDOI
Differentiation of atypical atrioventricular node re-entrant tachycardia from orthodromic reciprocating tachycardia using a septal accessory pathway by the response to ventricular pacing.
Gregory F. Michaud,Hiroshi Tada,Steven P. Chough,Robert L. Baker,Kristina Wasmer,Christian Sticherling,Hakan Oral,Frank Pelosi,Bradley P. Knight,S. Adam Strickberger,Fred Morady +10 more
TL;DR: The S-A-VA interval and PPI-TCL are useful in distinguishing atypical AVNRT from ORT using a septal accessory pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI
The ajmaline challenge in Brugada syndrome: diagnostic impact, safety, and recommended protocol.
Sascha Rolf,Hans-Jürgen Bruns,Thomas Wichter,Paulus Kirchhof,Michael Ribbing,Kristina Wasmer,Matthias Paul,Günter Breithardt,Wilhelm Haverkamp,Lars Eckardt +9 more
TL;DR: All patients with aborted sudden death or unexplained syncope without demonstrable structural heart disease and family members of affected individuals should presently undergo drug testing for unmasking BS using ajmaline using a protocol with fractionated drug administration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Double potentials along the ablation line as a guide to radiofrequency ablation of typical atrial flutter.
Hiroshi Tada,Hakan Oral,Christian Sticherling,Steven P. Chough,Robert L. Baker,Kristina Wasmer,Frank Pelosi,Bradley P. Knight,S. Adam Strickberger,Fred Morady +9 more
TL;DR: Detailed analysis of DPs is helpful in identifying gaps in the ablation line and in distinguishing complete from incomplete isthmus block in patients undergoing radiofrequency ablation of typical AFL.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prevalence of central venous occlusion in patients with chronic defibrillator leads.
Christian Sticherling,Steven P. Chough,Robert L. Baker,Kristina Wasmer,Hakan Oral,Hiroshi Tada,Laura Horwood,Michael H. Kim,Frank Pelosi,Gregory F. Michaud,S. Adam Strickberger,Fred Morady,Bradley P. Knight +12 more
TL;DR: The low prevalence of subclavian vein occlusion or severe stenosis among defibrillator recipients found in this study suggests that the placement of additional transvenous leads in a patient who already has a ventricular defibrillsator is feasible in a high percentage of patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Complete atrioventricular block after valvular heart surgery and the timing of pacemaker implantation
Michael H. Kim,G. Michael Deeb,Kim A. Eagle,David Bruckman,Frank Pelosi,Hakan Oral,Christian Sticherling,Robert L. Baker,Steven P. Chough,Kristina Wasmer,Gregory F. Michaud,Bradley P. Knight,S. Adam Strickberger,Fred Morady +13 more
TL;DR: The natural history of patients who developed complete atrioventricular block after valvular heart surgery was investigated to determine the optimal timing for pacemaker implantation.
