Supermode noise suppression in an actively mode-locked fiber laser with pulse intensity feed-forward and a dual-drive MZM

TL;DR: In this article, the supermode noise in an actively mode-locked fiber laser is suppressed for the first time by a so-called pulse-intensity-feed-forward technique, where the optical pulse is firstly converted into an electronic signal, and then fed forward to a dual-drive Mach-Zehnder modulator (MZM).
Journal ArticleDOI

Performance analysis for IEEE 802.11 distributed coordination function in radio-over-fiber-based distributed antenna systems

TL;DR: The performance of IEEE 802.11 distributed coordination function in simulcast radio-over-fiber-based distributed antenna systems (RoF-DASs) where multiple remote antenna units are connected to one wireless local-area network (WLAN) access point (AP) with different-length fiber links is analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Space-division-multiplexed transmission of 3x3 multiple-input multiple-output wireless signals over conventional graded-index multimode fiber.

TL;DR: The experimental results show that, SDM-based MMF link could offer a CN< 20dB well-conditioned MIMO channel over up to 1km fiber length within 0-6GHz, achieving as low as 2.11% EVM performance, indicating the possibility to distribute wireless MIMo signals over existing in-building commercially-available MMFs with enormous cost-saving.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photonic DPASK/QAM signal generation at microwave/millimeter-wave band based on an electro-optic phase modulator

TL;DR: Two novel photonic architectures to generate differential-phase amplitude-shift keying and circular quadrature amplitude modulation signals at microwave/millimeter-wave band based on an electro-optic phase modulator are proposed and experimentally demonstrated.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Improving Weakly Supervised Visual Grounding by Contrastive Knowledge Distillation

TL;DR: This paper propose a contrastive learning framework that accounts for both region-phrase and image-sentence matching, which removes the need of object detection at test time, thereby significantly reducing the inference cost.
