Hybrid radio-intermediate-frequency oscillator with photonic-delay-matched frequency conversion pair.

TL;DR: A low-phase-noise, single-loop radio-frequency (RF) oscillator is proposed and experimentally demonstrated where part of the oscillation is in intermediate- frequency (IF) domain by a pair of frequency conversions by a matched photonic delay between the two conversions.

Scalable Global Alignment Graph Kernel Using Random Features: From Node Embedding to Graph Embedding

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a new family of global alignment graph kernels, which take into account the global properties of graphs by using geometric node embeddings and an associated node transportation based on earth mover's distance.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Decoding Staircase Codes with Marked Bits

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel decoding algorithm is proposed, which partially uses soft information from the channel, which is based on marking certain number of highly reliable and highly unreliable bits to improve the miscorrectiondetection capability of the SCC decoder and the error-correcting capability of BDD.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nonlinear Distortions Compensation Based on Artificial Neural Networks in Wideband and Multi-Carrier Systems

TL;DR: This paper proposes to adopt an artificial neural network (ANN) as the processing approach which could mitigate IMD3 and XMD simultaneously and shows better performance and generalization ability.
Journal ArticleDOI

UWB Impulse Radio Transmitter Using an Electrooptic Phase Modulator Together With a Delay Interferometer

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple ultra-wideband (UWB) impulse radio transmitter is demonstrated using an electrooptic phase modulator (PM) and a delay interferometer (DI), where a pair of optical Gaussian pulses with opposite polarities are generated at the two output ports of the DI.
