TL;DR: The Consensus Statement is intended to be a guide for veterinarians, but it is not a statement of standard of care or a substitute for clinical judgment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Treatment and outcome of dogs with leptospirosis: 36 cases (1990-1998).
TL;DR: Prognosis for dogs with mild to moderate azotemia was good with conservative treatment, whereas treatment with hemodialysis appeared to improve prognosis for Dogs with severeAzotemia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical, clinicopathologic, radiographic, and ultrasonographic abnormalities in cats with ureteral calculi: 163 cases (1984–2002)
Andrew E. Kyles,Elizabeth M. Hardie,Brent G Wooden,Christopher A. Adin,Christopher A. Adin,Elizabeth A. Stone,Clare R. Gregory,Kyle G. Mathews,Larry D Cowgill,Shelly L. Vaden,Thomas G. Nyland,Gerald V. Ling +11 more

TL;DR: Results suggest that medical and surgical management of ureteral calculi in cats are associated with high morbidity and mortality rates, but treatment can stabilize renal function, although many surviving cats will continue to have impaired renal function.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical and pathological features of protein-losing glomerular disease in the dog: a review of 137 cases (1985-1992).
Audrey K. Cook,Larry D Cowgill +1 more
TL;DR: Progression of glomerular disease was unpredictable, with no apparent correlation between survival time and biochemical parameters at presentation, and cases with amyloidosis were more likely to be azotemic at presentation.
