Journal ArticleDOI

Observation of Ferromagnetic and Antiferromagnetic Coupling in 1-D and 2-D Extended Structures of Copper(II) Terephthalates.

TL;DR: The fit of the magnetic susceptibility for 2 using a molecular field correction, which takes into consideration antiferromagnetic interactions between chains via the tp ligand, yields J'/k(B) = -0.13 K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of [MII(Arene)2]2+ (M = V, Cr) as the Key Intermediate in the Formation of V[TCNE]x·ySolvent Magnets and Cr[TCNE]x·Solvent

TL;DR: In this article, the mechanism of the reaction between V0(C6H6)2 and tetracyanoethylene (TCNE) that leads to the room-temperature magnet V[TCNE]]x·yCH2Cl2 (x ∼2; y ∼1/2) was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Copper(II) carboxylate dimers and chains

TL;DR: In this article, the pseudopolymorphs Cu 2a (OH 2 ) 2 ·H 2 O and Co 2a(O 2 CMe)( 3 ) 3 (EtOH) 2 ) (3 =2 -(4′-carboxyphenyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-3-oxide-1-oxyl) enables the coupling of S= 1 2 spins on the nitroxides to the S = 1 excited state of the copper(II) dimer.
