Effect of α-Al2O3 coatings on the mechanical properties of Ni/SiC composites prepared by electrodeposition

TL;DR: In this paper, α-Al2O3-coated SiC particles were used as reinforcement for the fabrication of nickel matrix composites by electrodeposition and homogeneous coatings were obtained by the sol-gel method with a thickness of about 80nm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of 2-butyne-1,4-diol on the microstructure and internal stress of electrodeposited Fe―36 wt.%Ni alloy films

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of 2-butyne-1,4-diol(BD) on the microstructure and internal stress of the deposited films was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation, characterization and microwave absorbing properties of nano-sized yolk-in-shell Ni–P nanospheres

TL;DR: In this paper, the preparation of novel yolk-in-shell Ni-P nanospheres (YNNs) can be fulfilled through a facile method via adding sufficient amount of sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS) as a surfactant, stable and uniform Ni(OH)2 colloids were prepared firstly as precursors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Templated fabrication of pH-responsive poly(L-glutamic acid) based nanogels via surface-grafting and macromolecular crosslinking

TL;DR: A novel class of pH-responsive hollow poly(L-glutamic acid)/chitosan (PLGA/CS) nanogels was fabricated by a templating approach, which was mild and surfactant free, and combined with a “grafting from” method and intermacromolecular crosslinking technique, suggesting that such pH- responsiveness nanogel might have great potential in controlled drug delivery systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fabrication and microwave absorbing properties of NixPy nanotubes

TL;DR: In this paper, the preparation of a series of NixPy(x:y = 2.65-2.73) nanotubes and their corresponding microwave absorbing properties was studied.
