Hydrocarbon migration pathway and methane budget for a Gulf of Mexico natural seep site: Green Canyon 600
C. Johansen,Leonardo Macelloni,M. Natter,M. Silva,M. Woosley,Allison Woolsey,Arne R. Diercks,Jenna C. Hill,Richard Viso,E. Marty,Vladislav V. Lobodin,William Shedd,Samantha B. Joye,Ian R. MacDonald +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors combined published values for methane fluxes with data collected across various scales and resolutions to compile a methane budget for Green Canyon (GC) 600 in the Northern Gulf of Mexico.
Journal ArticleDOI
High-resolution seismo-acoustic characterization of Green Canyon 600, a perennial hydrocarbon seep in Gulf of Mexico deep water
Arne R. Diercks,Leonardo Macelloni,Marco D'Emidio,Samantha L. Lucker,Allison Woolsey,Maxwell U. Woolsey +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the seafloor and shallow subsurface of the Green Canyon Lease Block 600 were investigated using underwater vehicle-borne seismo-acoustics with photo data.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improving 3D water column seismic imaging using the Common Reflection Surface method
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors adopt the common reflection surface stack technique in order to improve the imaging of ocean water layers and apply it to a multichannel 3D data set collected for oil and gas exploration in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
Discovery and Characterization of Cold Seep Vents Using a Mass Spectrometer Operating Aboard an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle
R. Camilli,Leonardo Macelloni,Vernon L. Asper,M. Woolsey,J. L. Williams,Arne R. Diercks,Carol B. Lutken,K. Sleeper +7 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Temporal and spatial variations in three-dimensional seismic oceanography
TL;DR: In this paper, a 3D multichannel seismic survey acquired for oil and gas exploration in the Gulf of Mexico over a 6-month period was derived, and the 3D seismic images exhibit both temporal and spatial variations of the ocean, and theoretical and data analyses were used to quantify their contribution.
