Occurrence, distribution and potential affecting factors of antibiotics in sewage sludge of wastewater treatment plants in China.

TL;DR: The results indicated that the antibiotic levels in sewage sludge depend to a great extent on wastewater characteristics, and correlation between total organic carbon (TOC) and total concentrations of antibiotics was also found in studied WWTPs, indicating that TOC could affect the sludge adsorption capability to the antibiotics to some extent.
