Journal ArticleDOI

Kilogram-Scale Synthesis and Functionalization of Carbon Dots for Superior Electrochemical Potassium Storage.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed an inexpensive and high-efficiency aldol condensation method under ambient temperature and pressure, which can obtain products with 1.083 kg in 2 h and realize the functionalization of carbon dots doped with nitrogen (NCDs) and sulfur/nitrogen doubly (NSCDs).
Journal ArticleDOI

The development of carbon dots: From the perspective of materials chemistry

TL;DR: In this article, the advance of materials chemistry has influenced significantly the lifestyle of mankind by virtue of their fascinating physicochemical nature, including ultrasmall size (including ultrasall size).
Journal ArticleDOI

Recent progress on electrolyte additives for stable lithium metal anode

TL;DR: Li et al. as mentioned in this paper reviewed the recent progress of electrolyte additives in protecting Li anode and summarized the existing challenges of additives and proposed some prospects combined with the practice. And they introduced several main mechanism of Li dendrite growth.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functionalized carbon dots for advanced batteries

TL;DR: In this article, the research status of carbon dots in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), SIBs, potassium ion batteries (PIBs), lithium-sulfur batteries (LSBs), etc.
