Journal ArticleDOI

A Pore-Forming Tripeptide as an Extraordinarily Active Anion Channel.

TL;DR: A structurally simple pore-forming tripeptide 6L310 was found to exhibit an extraordinarily strong ability to self-assemble into stable possibly barrel-shaped exceptionally active channels, with record-low EC50 values.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structurally simple trimesic amides as highly selective anion channels.

TL;DR: Trimesic amide molecules, which contain simple alkyl chains in their periphery, exhibit interesting anion-transport functions and the most active and highly selective channel TA12 efficiently transports ClO4- anions across membranes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Monopeptide-Based Powder Gelators for Instant Phase-Selective Gelation of Aprotic Aromatics and for Toxic Dye Removal.

TL;DR: Through a combinatorial screening of 35 possible phase-selective monopeptide-based organogelators readily made at lost cost, five of them with high gelling ability toward aprotic aromatic solvents in the powder form are identified, and the best of them (Fmoc-V-6) is able to instantly and phase- selectively gel benzene, toluene and xylenes in the presence of water at room temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

A highly active and selective chalcogen bond-mediated perchlorate channel

TL;DR: This work reports on one such novel monopeptide-based transporter system, featuring both chalcogen bonds for highly efficient anion transport and high transport selectivity toward ClO4− anions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal structure of 1,3-dimethyl-2-phenyl-1H-perimidin-3-ium iodide, C19H17IN2

TL;DR: In this paper, a monoclinic C19H17IN2 was proposed to solve the problem of monoclonality in the C2/c model, where a = 18.701(4) Å, b = 7.9230(16) Î, c = 24.069(6) Î, β = 111.6(13)Î3, Z = 8, Rgt(F) = 0.0201, wRref(F2)= 0.0462, T = 296(
